| CEDC Upgrades Fuel Monitoring |
|
We continue with the upgrade of our successful FloScan Fuel Monitor and Branom Instrument Wi-Fi data collection and getting that data on to the internet for the basic fuel monitoring system and to add other equipment to make the system even better.
We have upgraded the enclosure for the FloBox to what we now call the FloCab, (Flow Cabinet) enclosure. Several comments from the operations group asked if they could see the meters with the door closed to keep dust, dirt, and rain out of the enclosure. The answer was, yes. Another request was to seal it up tight, with a full gasket. We researched and came up with a sealed fiberglass box with a window installed. We looked at several other sensors and data collection system to see what would work with newer NEMA 2000 systems. The result was to keep the same system and to keep it a plug & play system, that does not require major reprogramming, if a piece of equipment is changed. A fuel line is a fuel line and flow is flow so we wanted to keep it basic. We are now ready to start production with the new UL approved system. |
