CEDC Teams up with FloScan Instrument

CEDC of Hawaii forms new team with FloScan Instrument Co. of Seattle to represent them.  Now with a new product we call a Flobox, we have made it Wi-Fi, with our partners at Branom Instrument.

CEDC now has partnered with FloScan Instrument Co. to help vessel and power plant owners monitor their engines and help them trim fuel costs.   Floscan is the world's leading manufacturer of fuel flow instrumentation for permanent installation on diesel and gasoline engines.  Clark Dodge of CED Consulting previously worked with FloScan in Seattle while he was the Chief Engineer on the new 16,000HP, Jumbo Mark II ferry, MV Wenatchee.

The MV WenatcheeFor the Wenatchee, FloScan and Mr. Dodge worked together to develop and install the first 4 engine, 4000 HP model fuel monitor for its EMD 16-710 main engines.   The units on the Wenatchee were installed as part of a fuel monitoring and emissions testing program.  "The systems worked exactly as we hoped and the accuracy was to a level that the total main generator load, fuel racks and engine horse power produced for the fuel burned all added up."

FloScan Instrument CompanyFloScan Fuel Computers are installed worldwide on commercial and recreational boats, stationary industrial engines, heavy duty trucks, automobiles, and general aviation aircraft... everywhere internal combustion engines are used. Contact CED Consulting in Hawaii and the Pacific Rim for a consultation to help you make the proper choice and installation of a FloScan product best suited for your needs. With today’s ever-increasing fuel costs, EPA and regulatory agencies, companies must keep good track of fuel usage and emissions. The tracking of fuel consumed also tells your maintenance staff any problems with your equipment. Remember, poorly operating equipment burns a lot more fuel, as well as pollutes or air. Be an industry leader and track your fuel usage.
